Well I have slept two nights in a row. I hope this means the end of the time change trauma for me.
Troupe class went well last night, despite several members being out sick or working. We have two new troupe pieces for Hafla, Friday March 28, 2008. Plus some special guests I am sure you will enjoy.
Sad news today, Sir Arthur C. Clarke passed away. Sigh, goodbye. Heaven's gain is Earth's loss.
There is a truly terrible cold going around, this winter has got to stop! My ED at dance NS is so sick she actually had to miss a meeting, she never missed a meeting before. We put her on speaker phone so she could be there remotely but man, she sounded aweful. If you get this cold get to bed!
Why, I wonder, does our "fast forward" society expect us to work through illness? It just makes more people sick in the long run. Used to be, if a person got sick they'd stay home, get better in a few days, then return to the world. Why don't we do that anymore? No sick time? Too much responsibility? Our Egos are so over-developed that we think the world will stop turning if we lie down and allow ourselves to heal?
I don't know but it sure seems unfair to expect someone to get their job done when they are too sick to think or even breathe effectively.
Just sayin....
