Well you may be surprised to learn that I have not slit my wrists due to Matt Holtzman's disapproval of me. Ash's response was the funniest..."Who?". Although I do have to say thank you to all of who responded. It was lovely of you. We really did have some amazing, fun times together. I will cherish them always, and would give just about anything to have a weekend sitting on the porch of Village 5 with you guys.
So - the last couple of weeks have been very stressful on the work front. But I think there is only so much I can complain about the way I am treated because I am female. I don't complain at work, I just complain on here. Good thing I love my job. And good thing they brought me a lovely new pick up truck :)
Oh my god - I sold my house! Well, we're on day 6 right now of a 10 day cooling off period. This is a huge deal. It went on the market on Friday and we got an offer on Tuesday. The offer was not enough, so it went back and forth a couple of times and I got the price I wanted on Friday, and they signed the contract and paid the deposit. I did not expect it to happen so fast. It's quite shocking. This was my family home so parting with it was always going to be a big deal. Plus it is where Bastion is buried. So I'm having huge issues with leaving him there. I owned this house before Greg and I were married so it has always sort of been my back up plan. Just in case our life or marriage didn't go to plan, I knew I would be financially ok. That's not a reflection on Greg or us at all, just something I've always done to protect myself. So it's all very real and very final!
Angelus has been to doggie boot camp now twice. We are trying to get him over this issue he has with other dogs and me. He can cope with other dogs going near Greg, but when it's me he goes ballistic. It all goes back to right before our wedding when a dog off a leash attacked him and I got bitten trying to separate them - blood everywhere, it was a mess. Anyway he is going to classes to be re-socialised and learn to accept that they are not all out to get him - or me. On Sunday I sat on the grass and they brought out 3 german shepherd puppies who climbed all over me. It was so fun! But not for Angel. He got very upset. He didn't growl or try and bite but when one of them got too close, he batted it away with his enormous foot and knocked it over. We definitely made progress. He is just a lovely thing.
That's about all my news. Rodeo tomorrow night. Giddyup! Rumour has it that I get to meet the hot pick up man, and his beautiful horse.
Outdoor Recreation Industry Council Conference tomorrow and sunday though. Ewwwww.
