(no subject)
Hey there everyone.
Sorry I've been so distant, lately. Several people have tried to contact me, to no avail, and I sincerely apologize if I've hurt any feelings by not responding sooner than now.
Things haven't been so good at the place where I sleep (obviously), so I've been immersing myself in work and books and exercise. Just today, I had an orientation at MCC, ran to work, and then back to a voice lesson -- the first in a long time -- only to come home to help my brother pack for his flight to Borneo, in the morning, and take a bike-ride.
I barely made it to Harry Potter, not because I wasn't invited (thanks, Corinne), but because my father decided that I should take Jacob to Oakmont rather than go with those who asked me, to Hollywood 20. Said I didn't deserve it. This sort of thing has been applied to many different activities I would normally love to take part in, recently, so that could have been a reason I wasn't able to make it to this party or that gathering. I'm not ignoring you. I'm just simply not allowed to use the car. I seriously have to beg, bargain, and sign my life away just to see Michael.
Oh, and factor into all of that my inability to return phone-calls, if only for the fact that I've never really been good at that sort of thing. Ever. Ask anyone.
So to those of you I've inadvertently and unintentionally offended, I apologize.
In other news:
I leave this coming Sunday morning for NYC! I'll be staying with the lovely Laura Hoffman, but anyone who's up there and might feel inclined to see me, just call or text me. I'll try and respond! I'm going to try and take several good classes, so if anyone knows of any good teachers or fun places to see within the city, please -- let me know?
Anyway, after about a week there, I'm catching the train to Connecticut to stay with them. In exchange for helping to take care of their children (as they're switching-off on a choreography gig in LA, every other week), I'll be allowed to take some of their Summer Intensive classes at a discounted price. These people are known, though, so I'm rather nervous.
I just can't explain how incredibly excited and honored I feel, to be offered such an amazing two weeks! Wish me luck? ::crosses fingers::
Alright, Jacob wants to get on, to say goodbye to some of his friends before he leaves. Guess that's my cue.
