Can this be called their first flop single since the success of "Comfortably Numb"? Shaking off "I Don't Feel Like Dancing" when that song is still firmly inside the top 20 (or even top 10) of many charts was not going to be easy. They could've waited with the release of the obligatory one-ballad-per-album-thing till right about now, but this week "I Don't Feel Like Dancing" is still featured in most charts around the globe ... OY! Let's hope single #3 won't falter too!
So what can be said about "Land Of A Thousand Words"? It's an obvious stab at making a James Bond ballad but without the prominent strings, it's an elegant song that makes Jake Shears falsetto shine yet again and the video has enough close ups of the sideburns from Del Marquis.
