Stepped on a crack, went down the crevasse
To the void below. Don't think about it.
Doubt speaks quietly, reminds you
That the lines multiply.
Safe horizon is a mirage.
You are alone here.
Another step. Hear a groan.
The surface creaks, cracks.
You can't move, can't stay.
Would it be so bad?
Numbness comforts.
Would this be wrong?
An easier way.
Place a foot down,
Pressure where lines cross.
Feel it give way.
And as you fall, you wonder: Will Mother feel it?
