Thanxmas
Next week I'll be on the road quite a bit. Since I won't be able to take time off around Christmas (other coworkers grabbed those dates first) the_dark_snack and I will be going town to Arkansas next week for Thanksgiving, and early Christmas gift exchanging -- so we've dubbed it "Thanksmas" (actually I noticed Mom using that word first).
So between them getting gifts early and hanging out with "Silly Unca Johnny" it's going to be the best time ever for nephews/nieces: The Boy, The Bug, Faerie Princess and The Duke, ages 9,6,3,1.
Won't have much time or funds to do side trips, so it'll be mainly vacation with family.
We've got friends keeping the cat company (and the landlord/neighbor has friends constantly working on home improvements on the house) so we've got home security set as much as possible while we're away.
