One bullseye, one dead zombie

the_dark_snack and I went with friendstephen to the INdiana Gun Owners picnic out at the Indy Metro Police shooting range by Eagle Creek Park. Aside from the food and friendship, we had the run of the range. Snack and I didn't have any firearms so we shot Stephen's.
He had brought a Walther .22, a Glock .40(I think) and his Mossburg "zombie killer" shotgun.
I'm not very good with handguns (didn't have to qualify with a sidearm in the Army) so I wasn't too pleased with how I did with them, until we got an opportunity to change out paper targets, so I could tell by the fresh holes how I was actually doing.
One of my next shots with the Glock was a perfect bullseye. Hit the center dot with black all the way around the hole. Doubt I'll ever do better than that!
Meanwhile, after being advised by the Range Officer to try shooting from the hip, Stephen's first shot that way with the Mossburg went right through the middle of the "head" on the shotgun target. Dead Zombie! We had plenty of shells, so that cardboard undead freak ended up plenty dismembered =) All three of us took turns shooting at that.
Was a lot of fun, even if Stephen and I were stuck late helping pick up all the brass after nearly everyone else had left.
