So last week my external hard drive got corrupted. What does this mean? Well, pulling up EVERY image (including things like icons) on my computer and having to delete/reorganize 17,000 pictures (most are icons and duplicates or triplicates of existing pictures and, since I don't want to delete things like aquariums, family, friends, animals, etc, that means thumbing through all of them, one at a time). It also means taking care of all of my 30+ GBs of music. And it meant having to reformat the drive. So I took it home and plugged it into the ever-faithful iBook (since it's the original unit I used it with) and managed, after several hours, to make it functional again. And while I was there (hadn't turned it on since September lol), I pulled iTunes off its drive to bring to work. And I discovered a plethora of music I'd forgotten about. Including a ton of things my folks more than influenced me with :)
So, here's the playlist I've been rocking the last 48 hours:
Der Kommissar - After the Fire
Take On Me - Aha
Walk like an Egyptian - The Bangles

Carry On My Wayward Son - Wynners
I get music from a lot of places - sometimes the radio, sometimes TV (even commercials), friends, movies and so on... but if it weren't such a huge part of my upbringing I don't think I'd love it as much as I do. I even have a 1.5GB playlist of 90's Christian lol. So when I say I have an eclectic taste in music I am sooooo not bullshitting - my iTunes hops from stand up and musicals, to 4Him, Alanis, Jay Z, Elvis, Patsy Cline, Usher, Tim McGraw, Newsboys, Nickle Creek, Regina Spektor, Of Montreal, Imogen Heap, Michael Buble', John Mayer, Eminem and everyone in between. Including Journey and Human League...
Thanks mom and dad :)
