Time to leave
In a couple hours I'll be heading back to good ol' Motown. I can't believe it's that time already. It seems so long ago that summer began, but at the same time it doesn't really seem like it. August went by too fast, but also too slow. Classes don't start until Wednesday this year, which is really odd... we usually start on Monday. Looks like I won't have my Monday night class for almost 2 weeks after school starts, which is somewhat amusing. Mom and Sarah will be spending the night at my place tonight, since Sarah has to move into the freshman dorms early tomorrow (which I'm sure we all remember having to leave our houses super early on orientation day so that we could make it during move in time), so it's just really convenient this way. It'll be fun, like a giant slumber party at my place! Because the whole house is moving in throughout today. It'll be nice to see everyone again and play GH with Kristen!
I took a day trip up to Morris earlier this week, to drop off a couch, a table, and most of my stuff. I also stopped by the bookstore while I was there and purchased most of my books. I would have bought them all, but they didn't have in one that I needed for French. So I'll probably do it early this week, for something to do. I need to contact financial aid on Monday and see if they'll direct deposit my left over money asap... since I don't have a penny to my name right now and I need groceries, to pay bills, and the like. I don't know if they'll do it before classes start, but I can try!
I got to talk to Mike once today already (well, twice if you count the time when the phone he was using cut out and he had to call me back). He's planning on calling again sometime later and then again a couple times tomorrow. He comes back next weekend, yay! It's been a long few weeks...
Oh, and my older sister got engaged last night! So I have my brother's wedding to go to at the end of September and then whenever my sister's wedding is. Seriously, everyone I know is getting engaged now, it's insane.
