American Cancer Society: charity or terrorist organization?

I've never been so disappointed in a charity before in my life. The American Cancer Society is holding it's 'Relay For Life' event about two blocks away from where I live. The noise is so loud that my windows are rattling and I am unable to sleep even though it is 3:20 am. I have called the police but apparently there is a loophole because this

Write a letter to the editor to your local paper. Get them some bad press, and you'll be amazed at what they'll do to avoid this again.

I actually sent them a note on their website around 4 am (the noise continued until 5:30) suggesting that if they wish to hold this event they should make rules and regulations for it (such as volume limits). Holding an event like that right next to a major residential area was probably a bad idea. I don't remember the noise being quite as loud last year.

Why do these people need to relay for life in the dead of night? I would be ticked.
