The end of the world? No just an update x.x
I realized how shoddy my updations have been lately and felt bad for my poor neglected journal ^^;. Lots to report I guess. I survived TAdom >.> and have been working like mad in the lab.
Nancy has been working with me on better presentation skills and techniques to read a journal article more clearly the first time. I've been ironing out my specific aims and hope to send them to my committee tomorrow morning (need the final OK from Nancy but she's already edited them several times).
I give lab meeting in two weeks so I've been putting in the long haul in the lab (such fun). Hopefully I'll have some good data to talk about. I've been doing a mutant breeding scheme which is tricky and frustrating (double mutants are quite difficult) but I hope to have some full double mutants next week to try an in situ hybridization on (this will be my first in situ lol so it will be ineteresting to say the least).
Other than that, not a ton I guess (grad school is enough right?) I'm hoping to take my written exams in late May or early June and I am giving a poster presentation at the SDB meeting in Cancun in June (so I'm excited about that). I'm lined up to take my oral exams in July or August and then i'll be a full candidate for Ph.D. x.x I hope everyone is doing well... I'll get around to e-mailing you guys eventually I swear -_-.
