Woke up Monday morning this week to find an email from them telling me that they were buying a poem that I submitted just after Christmas. This is both the fastest I've ever heard from them, but it's also they first one they've bought for me.

Two major sales within a week! Whoopies!

I got an email Monday morning telling me that they were buying my poem, "Inter-Sentient Personal Ads". This is my first sale there, I've been trying to crack it for three years, so I feel pretty good about it.

I received my contributor's copy of Illumen Autumn 2009 today. published within it is my poem, "Ghost Light", which is on page 45. This is a cinquan, the first that I have ever written and certainly the first that has ever been published by me ( Read more... )

Speaking of starts, tomorrow I go back to work, vacation is over for me. I will be starting the end of my career as a teacher.
