Work had been, in short, busy. It was a whirlwind Ohno still wasn't quite used to. Makeup, wardrobe, filming, interviews... all of it nearly made Ohno's head spin. His character was growing a following and with it came more photo shoots and interviews for the weekly soap magazines. It was busy, but his filming schedule allowed for it - even if it meant he was working a fairly steady eight to five now, if not longer on some days.
The money was good though, damned good and it was more than enough for them to continue living comfortably and be able to save. Eventually, when things around them changed too much for their lifespans to really handle, they'd want to move. Ohno wanted a nice nest egg put aside to keep from having to dip into his father's money. A little house on a Hawaiian beach still sounded fantastic.
Finished a bit later than usual, Ohno expected to find Nino already home. Instead, he'd found Pearl sitting in the entry way and mewling for her dinner. Obliging the ginger kitten (cat, really - she was nearly a year old), Ohno flopped onto the couch to wait. He didn't have any messages, so it wasn't anything important that would keep Nino out late, that much he knew.
Sitting there, though, Ohno began to doze.
