"I, uh, just watch," Meisa told Maki as she turned towards the bed to make it bigger. She said the spell that she thought would make it bigger but watched in embarrassment as her bed shrunk from a full to a twin. "Um... that wasn't supposed to happen. Let me call my mom really quick."

Meisa searched for her phone in her purse and pulled it out, pressing the speed dial for her mom. "Please pick up, please pick up," she chanted as the phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hi Mom? What's the spell that'll make the bed bigger? Enough to fit four people?" Meisa's mom pummeled her with questions about why she needed a bed to fit four people. Meisa blushed as she answered. "I'm not drunk! Just, tipsy a bit... I'm having a sort of sleepover." No need for her mom to know that Ohno and Nino were going to be sleeping over and they weren't girls, that would cause more questions Meisa didn't want to answer at the moment. "The spell Mom, please? We're going to be watching a movie soon."

Her mom relented and gave her the spell in a tone that sounded as if she would get it out of Meisa eventually. "'Kay got it! Thanks Mom! I'll call you later! Bye!" Meisa grinned sheepishly and ducked her head, "Love you too, tell Papa I said hello."

Turning back to the bed, Meisa said the proper spell and was relieved when the bed grew to about a king size. She looked back at Maki, "I'm a witch. Well half anyways." Please don't hate me.

Ohno was glad his choice in movie was well-received and he beamed a little at Maki for it. "Then we'll watch that one."

He took his glass from Nino and sipped it slowly, pulling the fay down against him to snuggle a bit. He had a feeling he knew what Meisa was planning on doing, though it hadn't occurred to him that Maki didn't know Meisa was a witch until now.

Nino had to laugh, though he covered his mouth with his hand and tried not to do it too loudly, when Meisa's bed shrank. He laughed all throughout her conversation with her mother, though he was sympathetic to Meisa's exasperation. It was, he'd learned, not fun to have a parent interrogating one suspiciously. Nino rested his head on Ohno's shoulder and hoped Meisa didn't notice.

When the bed was king-sized, he pulled Ohno towards it. They were going to be stuck cuddling in their clothes while the girls had their pajamas, but it couldn't be helped. Nino prodded Maki with a grin.

"On to the bed."

Just watch. Maki watched, and boggled, as the bed shrunk itself down. She didn't really get why Meisa was shrinking the bed, but more importantly Meisa shrunk the bed. Maki stared as Meisa went to grab her phone and call her mother, and she didn't even have the ability to be amused because she was just too surprised.

Meisa...had magic too? Spells? She did take the time to sneak into Meisa's bathroom while she was on the phone and wriggle into her pajamas, a pair of shorts and a long-sleeved shirt, matching pink and grey colored stripes on both.

When she returned, Meisa was just getting off the phone with her mother, and Maki was still sort of in shock as Meisa laid it out a little more clearly. "Half-witch?" Maki blinked, gaze flickering to Ohno and Nino comfy together and back to Meisa. "That's...amazing Meisa." She shook her head. "I had no idea!"

She jumped a little at Nino's prod, and swayed before crawling her way up onto the bed compliantly, squirming around to find a comfortable spot somewhere in the middle. Wow comfortable. "Good job with the bed, it's lovely." Clearly her sense was leaving her.

Maki seemed to take everything in stride and Meisa was relieved. It was really hard to gauge when the best time to reveal one's heritage was. Or at least Meisa thought so.

She flushed a bit at Maki's compliment. "Thanks. It's not to hard or lumpy?"

Looking at Ohno and Nino, Meisa remembered that she had T-shirts that they could borrow and went to her closet. She pulled out two extra-large T-shirts left over from the recent blood drive at the hospital. "Do you guys want to borrow these T-shirts? Actually, you can have them if you want though they're kinda big."

She grabbed her own pjs, navy blue shorts with mini stars on them and a navy blue tank top, from where they were draped over the back of her desk chair. "You guys can use the bathroom first, I can change out here." Or whatever, Meisa had no qualms changing in front of guys, the hospital locker room was co-ed anyways.

Ohno rolled around a bit on the bed with Nino, getting a feel for it. "No, it's really soft!" he assured Meisa, sitting up when she held out the t-shirts for them. "Thanks!"

He looked to Nino and bit his lip, hiding a grin. "Whatever, it won't be anything for us to change out here, just being shirtless for a moment, if you don't mind." Ohno was no stranger to group nakedness, being in theater.

Nino laughed. He did a quick snow angel on the bed, purposefully knocking his arm against Ohno's leg. The bedwas very comfortable.

"What Satoshi is really saying," he said primly, as though translating a foreign tongue, "is that he would like to start a four-person nudist colony. In Meisa's apartment."

He sat up and took the shirt from Meisa. "I don't need to use the bathroom if you don't mind being subjected to awful boneyness for a moment."

Maki was glad to know now about Meisa's identity, but it didn't throw her any more then finding out about Nino, or Ohno had. She was a werewolf, and the world was full of magic, and Maki was okay with that. Mostly.

"It's soft," Maki sighed happily in agreement, watching Ohno and Nino make themselves comfortable, listening with half-an ear to the discussion of changing. She shifted herself around subtly to watch any activity from Meisa or the boys. Curiosity, was all.

She laughed at Nino's translation. "Satoshi likes nudity?" she felt the need to ask, nudging the fay's let with her foot at his mention of 'awful boneyness' with a roll of her eyes.

"Oh good, I was worried that I'd have to call my mom again if I messed up and well..." Meisa really didn't want to be bombarded with maternal questions at the moment.

She joined Maki in laughing at Nino's translation. "Maybe. But it's way too cold to be going around naked, at least for me."

At the guys' declining the use of the bathroom, Meisa shrugged. "Makes no difference to me, but could one of you pull down the zipper in the back of my dress for me?" She had used magic earlier in the evening to pull it up, but after shrinking and then enlarging the bed, Meisa didn't think she could do anymore magic for the night.

Ohno regarded them all with a quirked eyebrow. "I'm a merman, I spent most of my life naked. I have no qualms with nakedness. Especially if the nakedness was with three very beautiful people." Which was completely true. Especially in Nino's case. He poked the fay's side lightly to chide him for the boniness. "Shush you, there is no awful boniness, just pretty."

Sitting up, Ohno stretched out his back and pulled his shirt off, folding it and pulling the one Meisa had given him before standing to pull his pants off. He folded them and added them to his shirt before flopping back out onto Meisa's bed.

Nino rolled his eyes right back at Maki, giggling - her nudge in the foot had tickled. He wiggled - giggling louder - when Ohno poked him in the side. To avoid anymore, Nino wiggled himself right off the bed. He went to Meisa's side, holding aside her hair gently and pulling the zipper down.

He couldn't resist trailing his fingertips down her spine to see if he could get a reaction.

Zipper down at the end of its track, Nino quickly moved away from Meisa and started to undress. He folded his clothes neatly before pulling on the over-sized t-shirt. He fell back onto the bed, rolling until he was half on top of Ohno, stretched out against his side.

"This is really nice," he murmured happily.

Maki almost offered to scramble up and help Meisa with her zipper, but the room was still a little wobbly on her, and Maki was perfectly content and comfortable curled up where she was. So she left it up to the boys to handle, instead shooting a smile at Meisa when Nino came to her aid.

She did arch an eyebrow over her shoulder at Ohno for his declaration. "Do you think we'd make beautiful merpeople?" The thought intrigued her, what it would feel like to have a fin, gills, like Ohno's, which she spotted while he was switching shirts.

Though she wasn't entirely sure when her eyes closed they fluttered back open at Nino's murmur and Maki smiled and hummed a soft agreement. "Is. Thank...you, guys. For my- birthday. It was the best in a long time."

Ohno was already a beautiful merman, and Nino and Maki would make beautiful merpeople, Meisa was sure. Herself... probably not so much, though it would be interesting to see if it helped in her surfing abilities.

"Thanks Nino," Meisa said, squirming when he ran his fingertips down her spine, "hey, that tickles!"

Throwing her tank top on over her bra, she let the dress fall to the floor and stepped out of it before shimmying into her pajama shorts. Meisa draped the dress on the back of the chair then went to start the movie. Sitting on the edge of the bed, she gave a soft smile. "I'm glad that you had a good birthday."

"Is there room for me on the bed?" She playfully asked right before giving a small yawn behind her hand.

"You'd all make gorgeous merpeople. So much so I wish I could take you all there and see. Too bad the magic doesn't work that way." Well and truly too bad. That would be fun.

He propped himself up on his elbow as he watched Nino draw Meisa's zipper down and tease her. He smirked. Rolling a little, he tangled his ankles with Maki's and rubbed his foot against hers when she thanked them for her birthday. "It was fun, I'm glad I could make it and that you had a good birthday!"

Ohno ompfed a little when Nino landed on him but pulled the fay in closer. Meisa pouted at them and asked if there was room and so he opened his arms for her as well. "As long as you're willing to snuggle."

He had a distinct feeling the movie wouldn't last long before they were all curled in a close pile of slumber.

Meisa's cry of tickling made Nino erupt into giggling. He knew it was mean, but sometimes he just couldn't help himself.

"Maki and Meisa would be beautiful no matter what they were," he sing-songed, but he was dead serious.

There was no way they wouldn't have tails as gorgeous as Ohno's. Nino, on the other hand, would probably wind up looking like a run-over blowfish. Anyway, he got seasick.

Nino wiggled, working at it until he had a way to wrap his arm around Maki and pull her in close. That would give Meisa plenty of room to cuddle on Ohno's other side. He kissed the top of Maki's head, smiling softly.

"We'll do it again next year, and we'll make it even better," he promised.

Maki failed to hold in her own giggle at Meisa's reaction to Nino, amused at her friend. She shot the same amused smile Ohno's way when his ankles tangled briefly with hers.

Then Nino was there between them and she rolled to face him (and a better view of the TV truthfully). Her cheeks were of course a little hot at what they all had to say, but at the very least she could hide one of them from view by pressing it against the nearest pillow.

"Snuggling is necessary with this bunch," Maki said quietly, mostly to herself and then Nino was pulling her closer and she wriggled until she was completely comfortable, watching everyone else settle because every time she actually looked at the television screen her eyes threatened to close for good.

Next year. "That'd be nice," she admitted. Even another birthday exactly like this would be more than Maki really expected.
