Maki hauled her duffel a little higher on her shoulder, and knocked at Meisa's door, turning her ankles nervously. She was still in sneakers, and she looked a little ridiculous, because she was wearing the dress she meant to wear out. She just hadn't wanted to walk all the way to Meisa's in her heels.
Her hair was a mess, and she still had to do her make-up, all of which she had decided to do after she'd gotten where she was going. Her duffel was packed with pajamas, toiletries, her shoes, and few snacks for the movie night later. She had also forgone her massive purse once again for the same smaller bag she had taken with her to STOMP, as it happened to be the only small purse she had. It was a bit of a squeeze to fit in her wallet, phone, and keys, but it worked.
