Character History: Born in Tír na nÓg, a land of eternal youth and peace, in years best left forgotten by human history, Ninomiya Kazunari has a new birthday at least once every five years and a new identity once every thirty.

Restless and utterly fascinated by humans, Nino left Tír na nÓg at the human equivalent of seventeen years of age. He has worked every possible job and then some, careful never to rise too high in status or attention. Life amongst the humans he still loves so much has not always been easy and has often required hiding. (During the darkest years the location of Tír na nÓg changed several hundred times, but the call of it is always gentle in the back of Nino's mind.)

Nino isn't your Mama's Disney fairy - he doesn't have wings unless he wants them, he's short but he's not three inches tall, he'll have nothing to do with that vanity stuff, and he definitely won't be wearing leaves or flower petals when you meet him. His body is short and slouchy, and he's thin all over - when he's not working his magic. He can change his shape but he doesn't do it often - it's draining and leaves him sick for days. He's also allergic to iron, he wields a sharp tongue, and he's a mischievous brat at heart. He loves music and humans and fun. (If that fun means being mean to a hapless human, so be it.)

Since coming to New York in the 1910s (you'd be amazed what you can get away with having just a touch of magic), Nino has been keeping to the streets, taking odd jobs to get by. He lives in a nice enough apartment in an old building, working two jobs to stay in it - full time as a Barista, and part time as an exorcist. It's the least he can do to help the humans from the actual malicious spirits that hang around. (Assuming, of course, that he feels like it.)

RP Sample:

Ninomiya jumped when his cellphone - the one he reserved as his spiritual work phone - rang loudly. He sighed, turning towards the clock on the end table. He'd only been back from work three minutes. Humans did have impeccable timing.

Nino picked up the phone with a sigh. "Hello?"

"Mr. Ninomiya? I got your number from a friend, you cleared her kitchen of an imp, or something, I think. I just don't know what to do. My faucets have been dripping for months, no matter how far the knobs are turned. Do you think it's a poltergeist?"

Nino pinched the bridge of his nose. "Let me ask you something first."

"Yes?"

"Have you considered a plumber?"
