THOUGHTS I HAVE THEM

Apr 23, 2011 22:14

JUUUST watched and I'm going to watch again really soon but here are my immediate thoughts.

1. Doctor death, even a 200-years-in-his-life-later Doctor death, has got to be a hoax/trick/timey-wimey thing. Otherwise, when Matt's done with the show, so are we. Forever. That's not happening.

2. SCARIEST ALIENS EVER IN DOCTOR WHO. For real. They're actually terrifying. Really excellently done, effects/costuming department. I screamed when she found one in the bathroom.

3. I really enjoyed River a lot in this episode, until she made a sex joke at Eleven. gimmeabreak.

4. Speaking of Eleven, was anyone else pretty annoyed by him in this episode, or...?

5. Moffat! Damn! There was some good emotional stuff in this episode!

6. Amy's not pregnant. That's not what she wanted to tell him. And here's the thing:

7. Amy wants to tell the Doctor she's pregnant, like in Amy's Choice. The thing in the storage unit that Rory and River found is, unless I'm mistaken, the exact same thing that was upstairs in The Lodger. Something's going on here that's directly related to last season. (silence still needs to fall, right? Are these things the silence? Are they silents?...Silents will fall?lolgoodmentalimage)

ETA 8. Also I'm pretty sure the small child is River? She was young when she first met the Doctor, yeah, and when she goes to the Library (the SILENT one) she's in one of those space suits...it's totally possible.

I mean, you guys, I really liked this overall. A lot. I did kind of feel like not very much happened for the first 40 minutes but whatever. I'm about to watch it without commercials because it's possible that what really happened was BBCA did a terribly bad job with commercial breaks and transitions thereof. More thorough post to come?

amy pond is crazy, rory williams is precious, doctor who owns my soul, river song gets a tag i guess
