the wettest of times.
it's raining again. i feel like it's rained most of the summer. it is still going to be raining when i get on the rugby field at 8 tomorrow, and when our game starts at 11. it's the biggest game of the season, manda wants to come watch and odds are really good i won't play 1 minute. but i will be there, in the rain. which is fine, it's a big game and i wouldn't want to blow it.
the highlight of my week thus far has been going to the big e with manda two days ago. we saw the alpacas and other animals, ate lots of food and bought a minimum of special gifts, including a new sweatshirt for tonka that she looks stunning in. i really enjoyed having a day with my girl, we hardly see each other lately.
beckx! cleaned out and rearranged our apartment, so that's also been a really terrific thing in my life. in return, i have been making pancakes. delicious ones. with things in them like butterscotch morsels. and apples. and maybe blueberries if i make more than $25 at work tonight (which would break my record for the week).
i have also been applying to many jobs, none of which want to hire me i suspect because our country is spiraling into an economic depression the likes of which we haven't seen since the 1920's. lately i wonder if it isn't more productive for me to seek jobs in other countries. places that aren't run by silly monkeys or really big guns.
in other news, i have lost one of my rings that i have been wearing for like 5 years. i am not entirely sure how it happened, but it did. i tried to find another one at the big e but none of them matched like the old one and now my right hand feels all naked.
i wonder if all this rain is going to make the leaves brighter this year. i do love autumn.
