Chibi and the Bee
Wow I know it has been a long time for sure but as i was up this late doing some prep work I thought I might start documenting this very interesting moment in both chibi and I's life. So preparing for what you might wonder. Well let me tell you that sometime in November just before I started my new job I rented a movie that we had in our movie theaters at one point while I was at cineplex. I have always wanted to watch the movie but I heard that it wasn't that good and that the girl in it was extremely rude. Anyways I decided that this time I was going to watch it and judge for myself. The movie was called Akeelah and the Bee and it was amazing.I absolutely loved it and it really touched me . I thought about all the time chibi spent watching tv and wished that chantel would be interested in something like that. One day while i was in the mall with chibi we pasted a desk on our way out . The desk had two lonely looking individuals there. I decided I would find out what they were selling because that week our mall was having a artist gallery type thing where artist could set up shop in the mall hallways. The two pwopl said that they were part of a organization called the Spelling Bee of Canada. I couldn't believe it. For $25 I could enroll Chibi in a spelling bee equipped with manual, coaches, a stage and everything. I was so shocked . I asked them how long I had till I could enroll her. they said they would be back next weekend but that was the last day cause they were here all week. The following staurday i convinced chibi to try it out and we did it. for the first little while we had been studying but not as hard core. Now though with the coaching sessions starting up they are starting to do mock runs of the spelling bee so we need to get prepared fast. The spelling Bee is on April 12 2008. I have already asked work for that day off. I am working during the evenings but I try to get my spelling prep work done so chibi has it for her to finish right after school.I would love for her to at least place in the top ten. Actually I would love it if she won but i am going to have to work her hard for it. I think she can do and no matter what I think chibi is doing great so far. I have never been prouder. Anyways it is after 3 now and I need to get some rest so until the next time.
