We had a great night planned for saeok and I to go meet up with kimlett and her beau, and puentos, and go catch a showing of Farenheit 9/11 downtown. Kimett had offered to get our tickets in advance for the 7:50 showing, and, since we had aquired permission to use the vehicle for the evening, afterwards we were to do a bike transaction.
Well, the day didn't quite go as planned.
Saeok and I showered and jumped into some nice clean clothes, and headed upstairs to take off around 6:30 only to find out the vehicle was in use. Hung around with our cats in the backyard, and the car returned at 7.
In our attempts to get to the 5th ave. Cinema's we managed to find two versions of 5th ave. that just ended, before finding the right way. We were about five minutes late as we started our parking efforts, and by the time we walked up to the theatre we were roughly 15 mins late. The show had been sold out, so the option to buy an extra set of tickets to get into see our friends, and then pay them back for the ones they'd bought us, was non existant. We asked the girl at the ticket booth if anyone had left any tickets for us there, and were told that they didn't hold tickets.
We felt horrible that we'd managed to show up late, and weren't able to contact our friend to let them know where we were, so we sat outside for a few minutes just in case one of them decided to pop out to see if we were around. Though the movie had started and we hardly expected anyone to miss the actual movie because we were crappy enough to show up late. I managed to talk the door guy to let me into the theatre to take a boo around, but it was dark and the movie had definately started, so we were out of luck.
In conclusion: We suck. We're sorry. We'll pay for the tickets. I hope we didn't cause you folks too much stress. *sad face*
