This episode was even further proof that there's only so many guest actors in Vancouver! ;-)
You know...I think the Shules may be going the way of the Jam from The Office...you love it...then they give it to you and it seems forced and you don't want it AS much...yeah...definitely going that way.
lol I'm pretty sure I recognized a few of the extras as well...but I couldn't find their names to check.
It's sad about the Shules. I really really wanted them after the scene in "Bounty Hunters"...but now I kind of would rather they hate each other or something. It's sad, but sometimes the sexual tension just plays better than the actual relationship.
Yeah the flirting's been cute...but they're almost making it seem like he's pining after her...and that's just getting annoying.
But then I kind of have to wonder if I'm identifying Shawn too much with Jack Harkness....and pushing my Jack/Gwen issues onto Shawn/Juliet. And then I wonder how in the world I began comparing Psych to Torchwood....
You know...there is a slight Jack/Gwen to it...but OH I really don't like that pairing...I'm a Janto girl through and through....so here's hoping I don't come to dislike the Shules as much as I dislike the Jack/Gwen.
But then again...last week's episode was written by James...so maybe him having Shawn pinning away for Juliet was his nod to him being all gah-gah for Maggie?
I know what you mean...I am so totally a Janto girl (it's the only 'ship in any fandom I've been insistent on, lol). I think the thoughts came from randomly comparing Shawn to Jack and then thinking "Does that make Lassiter Ianto?" and that pushed me on to associating Juliet with Gwen. (Which would totally make Gus some super combination of Tosh and Owen...though mostly Tosh, I think) It's probably all just a sign that Torchwood has taken over my brain.
I've been hoping that James and Maggie's relationship wouldn't negatively alter the show...I think their relationship is cute and Shules has the potential to be cute, but it just seems like it's being forced through. And I hope it's not just because they're together in real life.
The more I think about it...the more I think I can tie the growth of my love for the Shassie to my involvement in the Torchwood fandom. I read the first Shassie fic I enjoyed pretty much the same week I started watching Torchwood. Hmm...interesting....

It's like it's forced but they'll never actually give it to us until the show's last season I believe.
