(no subject)
it's kind of too bad i can't take TK's puppy but im really happy about the law against goats. i hate those stupid creatures. i got a little excited when i finally decided to take it, so i might go for a cat instead. but after IST. town tomorrow. yes! and i have clean laundry. no food, but clean laundry. could it get better? i suggest that it cannot!
dora came over today and we sat in fun awkward silence for a while, trying to talk in twi/english was fun. it took a while to explain that the baby in the picture is me, not my child. and trying to get directions to her seamstress in town was totally useless. she gave me an apple when i showed up to take her picture which was awesome. i haven't had an apple in months. go fruit!
kwame and yao came by to get my secret recipe for how to make iced tea. they wouldn't believe that it's like regular tea, only you just put it in the fridge and serve it over ice. i said to kwame "hot tea is good when it's cold outside, but if it's hot outside, iced tea is good" and both him and yao nodded with such thoughtfulness that i had to giggle. i'm doing well with sharing american culture i guess. i schooled kwame about the beatles for like 45 minutes.
i like that i'm making friends with my neighbors. it's sort of bothersome when they just show up to hang out, but i'm glad they do it. i feel awkward just showing up so i havent gone over without an invite yet, but i'll get there i bet. be real ghanaian. :)
TK thought it was hilarious that i still dont have a light in my bedroom. he said he hasn't hung curtains in his 1 room place b/c the fan is in the middle. i forgot about fans, it's been so cool here. without my curtains, i'd probably be freezing right now, the mist is so heavy. <3 mountains.
