A Lady Who Lunches

Yesterday, it was lunch with the Artistic Director of the Actors Company of Tulsa. Lots and lots and  lots of ideas! I was offered the chance to participate in an actor's showcase and I offered to help with their next production of Angels in America and coordinate 5% of the proceeds being donated to an HIV Service Organization. From evidence I've seen and heard once you've joined the union, you can't do anything Non-union again. this may be a theatrical form of cutting of your nose to spite your face.

...and i like your nose.

Yeah, that Opera Production Manager went "the other direction" I always wanted to go: full equity rights. But! It meant I'd have to work regional theatre, and thus, wouldn't have married, or moved to LA and met all the wonderful people there.

There is another union he's involved with, one with lower standards, but upon joining, I could garner a larger wage: IF I wanted to SM and opera. I'll attend a rehearsal and ses if I'm even up for that.

So many decisions! That little pee in my head can only go around so fast!
