Got a new eyeglass prescription today, and I'm having a little trouble adjusting. I think it's because the optometrist switched me from a bifocal to a monofocal lens - I've had bifocals since I was 5. I'll probably get used to them in a few days, Still, a part of me is worried that the prescription is wrong and I'll be stuck with wonky glasses. Luckily I held on to my old frames just in case.
Speaking of eyes and doctors, I had a very bizarre experience the other day. I was walking out of a doctor's appointment after a general check-up. My ride wasn't there yet, but while I was waiting, I was approached by a large Mexican man asking me if there was a Capital Metro bus outside (there wasn't). That's when I realized that he was blind. I told him no, and then we struck up something of a conversation. He said his name was Ricky and started taking about the mariachi band he was in... then he started commenting on how young I sounded, asking my age, telling me how pretty my voice sounded, and other sorts of flattering things.
In short? I got hit on by a blind mariachi player.
Nice guy. though.
