Water-related, (almost) all of it

Our dishwasher and water softener both died recently (the two might just be related). The church replaced both. I predict fewer stalactites on the sink faucets and cleaner dishes! We have a nice dishwasher that- Gasp! Shock!- actually washes the dishes! It's pretty cool. :D

One of our toilet tanks is leaking on occasion for no apparent good reason. Tomorrow I need to figure out why. Whether this happens before or after DirecTV comes to do stuff, I don't know. There might be a guy drilling a hole and threading cable while I disassemble the toilet though. Anywho, plumbers' tape might be all it needs, or at least that's what I hope.

We recently had an issue with these weird gnat-like things. It turned out they would drown in spades if we set a cup of water out, so I did, and much to my glee they are now gone. Unfortunately I no sooner decided to remove the cup of gnat water than I spilled it on my foot. Ugh. On a related note, meal moths are harder to get rid of, and a much bigger pain in the neck.
