Friday night, I dined at Henk’s and it’s been nearly a year since Ludwig passed and it’s just not the same
without him playing. The other performers that are in his place are too quiet and most importantly - don’t talk to the audience.

I finished up Craft Beer Week at The Covey brewpub in Ft.Worth as it's been a while since I was there last. Because of that, most of the beers on the menu were new for me, which is even better. The crew couldn't make it out and due to the drive, I kept this to a sampler and two pints - the IPA and finishing with the Coconut Porter.

Despite a suck-the-goat weekend, this week got off to a great start by an occurrence almost as rare as a pterodactyl Easter egg -IBM bought lunch today. After 10 years, I can now start counting on the other hand when tallying up all the times they’ve picked up the tab.

While driving, I spied a banner reading “We Play Disco” on a bar. This is a double-edged box cutter if I ever saw one and probably guarantees the impossibility of getting insurance for the place. Luckily, this affront to humanity wasn’t on our list of destinations.
