Henk’s is a bargain with dinner items being just under $10 and $3.75 mugs of import beer. Since Oktoberfest is coming, this is a good warm-up. Heavy beer season will be upon us soon.
Once again, Ludwig the Accordionist, unleashed “In Heaven There is No Beer”. The sing along tradition was alive and well with the word “Yes” in different languages and when Ludwig gets to the Spanish portion, he dedicates it “to the kitchen staff”. I never get tired of hearing it.

Not Quite the Holy Trinity
Onto Trinity Hall, one of the finest Irish pubs in the Dallas-Ft.Worth for a Westvleteren give-away. Westies are hard to come by as the monks only sell the beer directly to the public. No wholesale and they want you to promise not to resell it. So you have to travel to Belgium or know somebody, do some trading, take it up the butt, etc to get a hold of this beer.
The giveaway was designed to see how many beer geeks would sign up. There was a real bottle on hand in case new people actually showed.
Sure enough, no one, other than the core group made it out. Below are the flakes/users and pertinent stats. To summarize, these are fly-by-night, new sign ups that don’t socialize.
