Definitely did different things on the break, including on odd occurrence I had no hand in.
Kind of cleared my head -proof will be how things are when I hit the data center tomorrow.
Didn't check work email once I left on Wednesday, so that probably helped.
Giant Cowboy Immolation
The annually held state fair of Texas features a 60-70ft.tall Cowboy creatively named, “Big Tex”.
It's not mobile but waves and speaks throughout the day/night. Friday morning, a suspected electrical short
set the hombre on fire. The fair's not my idea of fun and since I didn't grow up in DFW, have no feelings of loss.

The Arts
►Movie:
Seven Psychopaths -pretentious shite, despite what looked on paper to be a good cast.
This from the writer/director of "In Brugges" but the characters didn't draw me in and the story went in circles
with a lame ass ending. Woody Harrelson doesn't work as an intimidating bad guy. Funny or pathetic, he does well.
Odd: The movie is set in California and there's Shiner beer placements in two scenes.
►Book:
Winged Obsession -lots of padding but fascinating story about butterfly smuggling.
You wouldn't think it interesting but if you've been around obsessed people, that makes the book all the better.
►Music - Synthesizer meet-up set-up for today at an old friend's shop, so I broke out the trigger pads,
pad-to-MIDI interface and the
Kawai XD-5 percussion synth. It's been eight years, so I spent most of Saturday
and part of this morning getting things in order.
All for not -my friend sent word that copper thieves hit his shop and you can't have a synthesizer gathering
without electrical, so the rest of the day was spent on things I put off to attend -not bad having things linger.
