I’ve been involved with computing for over two decades. Couple that with the fact that I’ve been involved with mainframe computers for over twelve years. It’s not cocky or egotistical to say that I know a few things about using computers but I will never say that I’m an expert or advanced user but novice/casual - NO.
Today, I purchased an iPhone. Big expectations. Big letdown.
Sure, I’ve played with friend’s/family’s iPhones but now I’ve got one attached to my PC and see the road ahead that wasn’t revealed in the test drives. I was wrong in my expectations and view of the device. In addition to replacing my cell phone, I wanted a replacement for my pocket PC.
Mistake. This is a cellphone. An advanced cellphone that needs additions/modifying to begin to replace what my pocket PC did, the interface will not be there - at least not from crApple.
I use every pore of Outlook. I expect an interface into every nook and cranny of a device. In and out of everywhere. iTunes doesn’t do this.
This is going to take some work. I’ll give it until Sunday. If it still sucks, then back it goes for a Samsung Blackjack.
