Belated Saturday Update
I went down to The Gingerman to have a couple of beers yesterday afternoon. It’s best then with no crowds; full A/C and I get home early before the on-call action starts. See? I’m responsible.
New Beers
1. Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball - great name for this lovely Malt bomb.
2. Boulevard IPA - another mediocre brewer trying the Texas market. Pass.
3. Sierra Nevada Torpedo - redhaired 4:20 in the nose for this tasty IPA.
Someone OD’d on Boring Pills
You know you're sitting next to desperate conversation when people are talking about mail ordering mincemeat pie. Then feedlot,slaughter,etc. The best inadvertent quote, "There's nothing left." I couldn’t agree more.
The cost of everything is going up, as we all know. Gman’s juke is now 2 songs for $1, so sad but ZZTop’s “Viva Las Vegas” and James Brown’s “Hot Pants” did get their customary plays. I don’t know why this place doesn’t have an Internet juke.
