it's so hard when it doesn't come easy...

hm. i just finished watching the latest real world episdoe on the computer and it's got me bummed. I love watching that show, and have kept up with most seasons since...well, for a while now. anyways I just feel bad for Joey - and I'm glad he went home to get help. ok that's all I'll say about that. now on to a more peppy note.

i finished my 2nd semester of grad school back in may - yippy. I survived, yes indeedy. I was terrified about this semester b/c of the number of assistantship/work hours I had and the classes and diagnostic team etc. but true to form i survived and enjoyed it and it was much less complicated that I had imagined it would be. I actually got all A's too - which I am oh so proud of. I don't think I've ever gotten straight A's before... well I don't think i have in college. I had 2 A -'s last semester, this time I had no minuses. yippy. i worked my buns off for that, so I'm glad it paid off. summer school starts on monday. i'm not excited to start, but I know I have to start school in order to finish the semester - so bring it on. I've had a month off, and i didn't get a job since it is such an akward amount of time and what not, so I've just been relaxing and enjoying it. I've stayed at jorge's parents house most of the break - with a side trip to milwaukee and a few trips to madison. It's been nice. I have discovered that I am very good at not doing anythign if I don't have anything to do. Since I am at someone elses house I really can't do much - i'm not going to reorganize their books or anything like I might be inclined to do whil at my place... so it's odd, to really have nothing to do. I went to milwaukee with jorge to see the body worlds exhibit - it was really cool. bascially just plastinated bodies, and parts of bodies to look at - a good precursor to my gross anatomy class this summer ( we are actually disecting a human head and neck to look at the muscles and nerves etc.) it'll be interesting. i'm bascially taking it b/c i think i need to learn anatomy better - and this is a good way of doing that. anyways - i digress. jorge and i also went to the zoo and a brewers game while we were in milwaukee,oh and melting pot - delcious. it was a good mini vacation that i enjoyed alot. my first trip to madison was just a teeth cleaning at the dentist - but i also ended up getting my car looked at b/c of some issues... and what they said would take less than a day to fix, took 3 days and they really didn't even know what the problem was, oiy vey. it was drama. but ended fine. the 2nd trip to madison was for a bridal shower and i got to hang out with a friend from madison for the day which was fun, however the drive home was scary b/c of the storms and horrible horrible lighting that surrounded the car while driving at night. by the way i hope everyone's homes are ok and survived this flooding thing - my apartment is A ok, and jorge's house only has minimum flooding, and they live right in the heart of the problems near gays mills - so that's great they got a way with very few issues. alright. i'm tired, time for bed. and time for another semester to begin. by the way i've never had summer school before - this is a first for me, i think it'll be hard to have to go to class on such beautiful days... but we shall see.
