Sleep news: I'm still having horrible sleep issues. I hate being up so early when I don't have to be. Three days out of the week I have to get up early because I have to be at work by six, but all the rest of the days, I could sleep later. It seems my body gets fixated on those three days when the alarm goes off at four fifteen and decides I need to be awake by then every morning regardless. I've tried going to bed later, but I still wake up early and then don't get as much sleep. I go to bed earlier, but then I'm up earlier. I don't know what to do but I feel like I'm walking around like a zombie anymore.
I have discovered a relatively cheap sleep aid that's all natural, blah blah blah. It is a combination of B vitamins and melatonin with a shot of tryptophan to make you all snuggly and drowsy feeling. You mix it with a bottle of water and drink it--that's the hard part because it's not the most tasty thing in the world--but about thirty minutes later, it kicks in and I can hardly keep my eyes open. The beautiful part is that I do tend to stay asleep longer when I have some so it does work for me. I guess I'll force some down tonight.
Book news: In spite of my acute lack of sleep, I have been on a roll writing. I'm up to chapter twenty two with the fourth book of my Moonlit Wings series and I have started another short story tie in featuring Percy and Mya. No title for it yet, but I've got the outline of it done. I just need to sit down and write it.
Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for the third proof of Cemetery Moon to show up. I'm dying to see if the revised cover works. I think that's my main concern right now.
And speaking of covers, I think I finally figured out what I want on the cover of the second book, Guardians and Graves. It should be (should be) a simpler composition for my artist to make so it shouldn't (shouldn't) take very long to finish. I don't have a real clear picture in my head for this cover, so he'll have more freedom to just come up with it. I'm excited now to see it, but that's still a long ways off yet, I'm afraid.
