One could wonder at this point what I am doing in Iowa. I have a bit of money. I have a reasonable resume. I have no real responisiblities or liabilites. I have seen a good deal of the country. For sure, there are warmer areas of the nation.
When I was growing up, I lived a couple of hours from Santa Claus, Indiana. In Santa Claus, every day is Christmas- 365 days a year. If I loved all things Santa, that is where I would make my home.
If you know me, there is nothing I love more than Presidential elections.
There is not a bigger thrill for me than knowing I can travel a grand total of 20 miles in a day and see three presidential in a six hour time period.
If I want to shake hands with a candidate and get their autograph, I can not only do it, but I can pick the day that is convenient for me. Tuesday is bad. I will do it Thursday.
I had so much fun with the 2008 election that I can't wait for the 2012 election.
That time between the end of the 2008 election and the beginning of the 2012 primary season will be the hardest for a political junkie to endure.
What am I going to find to do to keep myself occupied for those
two and a half weeks.
