Summary: Ianto’s birthday wish. A sequel to Five Candles
Author’s Note: As I said, this is the sequel to Five Candles. I had hoped to get this out several days ago, but I just moved back to school and have been a bit busy the last few days, so sorry about the wait. Thank you to those who reviewed the last part. And finally, please review, especially as this is one of my first forays into NC-17.
Ianto woke early the morning after his birthday, far earlier than normal, as even Jack was still asleep. It was a rare event that Ianto woke before Jack did, but he decided to enjoy the rare moment and just watch his lover sleep. While he did, he couldn’t help but think about the events of the previous day. In all of his twenty five years, Ianto had never had a more perfect birthday. Not only had it been a perfect birthday, it had been a perfect day all around, one which he would always remember and cherish. He and Jack never had the most conventional relationship, but sometimes, there were moments when everything seemed normal and Ianto could convince himself that maybe he and Jack were something more then temporary. As he lay there, Ianto smiled to himself; even if the day before ended up being the only “perfect” day he had with Jack, it would be enough.
Flashback, August 19th, Ianto’s 25th birthday
“When I blew out the candles, Jack, I made a wish. And for my birthday, I want you to make that wish come true.”
Jack smiled. “Sure, I can do that. What was your wish?”
“One day, Jack. One perfect day, just you and me, no Torchwood, no rift, no aliens. Just one day that we’re normal people, doing normal things, having a completely normal, albeit between two men, relationship.”
Jack’s smile never wavered. This was something he could do. If this is what Ianto wanted, Jack could do it, and would do it, happily. “All right; what does your perfect day consist of Ianto?”
Ianto smiled, glad that Jack was okay with his request. “Five things, one for each candle on my cake. Only thing is…I only tell you about each one as we complete the previous one. So you can’t plan too far ahead; I want our perfect day to be spontaneous, I don’t want to feel pressured by things like times and reservations.”
Jack smiled again, but it was softer this time, “And maybe that can be a bit of a birthday present to yourself as well; being spontaneous. I know you find it hard to do so, and I’m glad you’re willing to do it. I think that sounds perfect.”
“Alright then. Let’s go up and shower, get dressed, then I’ll let you know the first part of our perfect day.”
- “Drink sangria in the park…”
Ianto looked up from the basket he was packing as Jack walked into the kitchen. Smiling, he turned back to what he was doing, thinking Jack looked perfect in jeans and a t-shirt. As part of Ianto’s perfect day, Jack had agreed to wear something different than his normal attire. If “normal” clothes would make the day better for Ianto, Jack could find no reason to disagree.
“What are you doing? What’s the first part of your day? And whatever it is you’re preparing, you should be letting me do it.” Jack said, leaning on the counter.
Ianto smiled. “First Jack, I want us to have a picnic lunch in the park. I went ahead and packed it because I was ready first. Did you call everyone at work, let them know we’d be out for the day?”
Jack nodded. “I talked with Tosh, told her we were celebrating your birthday for the day, and they are only to call us if there is a major problem with the Rift.”
“All right then, if that’s all out of the way, I have the picnic packed; we could go ahead and go. By the time we get there it will be late enough for an early lunch.” Ianto said, grabbing the basket and making his way to the door.
The walk to the park wasn’t long, and about halfway there, Ianto found himself holding hands with Jack. They’d never held hands before, and Ianto found himself almost overwhelmed by something so simple. He could feel something like butterflies in his stomach and was surprised; his relationship with Jack had never been the kind to result in such feelings.
Once at the park, the two found a shady spot not too far from the path and a small pond where they spread out the small blanket Ianto had brought and sat down, getting the lunch out of the basket. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it was things both he and Jack enjoyed that were simple. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (a guilty, and secret, pleasure for both of them), chocolate cookies from a shop around the corner from Ianto’s flat, grapes (Jack always enjoyed eating grapes with Ianto, trying to get him to “Ooohh” for him again), and some pretzels. Once all the food was out, Ianto pulled out a bottle of sangria he had fit in the basket. While he normally enjoyed wine, he had wanted something different, and he knew both of them enjoyed sangria on occasion.
Jack had sat down right behind Ianto, and it hadn’t taken much persuasion for Ianto to lean back into him while they ate. They enjoyed their sandwiches first, then moved onto the other snacks in the basket, enjoying quite conversation about nothing in particular while they ate and sipped their sangria. They took their time and stretched out their conversation and their food for the entire bottle, and by the time they were done, both were a little…loose. Not drunk, or even tipsy, but relaxed in a way that they normally could never be. Jack had even convinced Ianto to reenact an “ooohhh” or two before they decided that it was time to start packing up their basket.
As they gathered their trash up, Jack looked over at Ianto and couldn’t help smiling. “Well, if you ask me, your perfect day is off to a good start. What comes next?”
Ianto smile back. “It is indeed off to a good start, and I imagine it’ll only get better. Next, I want to make a new memory with you, do something we have never done before.”
Jack quirked an eyebrow; that could cover a lot of things. “Like what?”
“Well Jack, it is my birthday. Shouldn’t you be giving me a birthday spanking?”
- “…and one to grow on.”
They had made it back to the flat in record time. Hearing the lust in Ianto’s voice when he had brought up spanking had awakened his libido in full force. Once in the flat, Jack kicked the door shut behind him, grabbing Ianto at the same time and pulling him to him, slamming their mouths together for a bruising kiss. The kiss went on for several minutes before Jack finally pulled himself away, gasping. Ianto too was having difficulty getting the air to his lungs, but his swollen lips were smiling as well.
“Strip,” Jack gasped out, making his way into the living room, and sitting on the couch. Ianto quickly followed, stripping his clothing as he followed. By the time he was standing directly in front of Jack, he was completely nude, his cock hard but not yet dripping. Jack knew it was only a matter of time.
“Assume the position, birthday boy,” Jack ordered. Ianto closed the distance between Jack and himself, then moved so he was lying across Jack’s lap, face towards the floor, arse in the air, ready for his birthday spanking.
Jack was aroused already, had been from the moment Ianto suggested the spanking, and he was finding it hard to stay on task. Taking a deep breath, he moved his left hand so it was resting at the small of Ianto’s back, not holding him down, but ready to, if the need arose. He raised his right hand, and brought it down quickly on the Ianto’s right arse cheek; when he pulled it away, a red hand print was already becoming visible on the man’s pale skin. Ianto jolted a little and moaned at the contact but made no move to pull away.
“One,” Jack forced out. He didn’t know if he’d be able to make it through 24 more.
By the time he reached ten, Ianto had started crying out, but was also trying to rub his cock against Jack’s leg, so Jack knew he was still enjoying it. Jack too could feel his underwear growing wet in his excitement. He dealt two more slaps, one to each cheek, then decided his right hand needed a break. Bringing it to his mouth, he quickly wet two of his finger as best he could with just spit, then moved that hand back down to Ianto’s ass. Ianto moaned at the touch of a finger on his hole, then moaned even louder when that finger pushed inside. It burned a little, the spit doing less to ease the entrance than he was used to, but it was a pleasant burn. A second finger quickly followed. While his right hand was busy fucking Ianto’s hole, Jack’s left hand continued the spanking.
For Ianto, the sensation had changed. The feeling inside was different when combined with the smacks to his ass, but it wasn’t unpleasant. By twenty he was crying out even louder, his face was flushed, and he was sweating.
Jack smiled; it was a rare sight to see his proper lover come so undone. “Five more, Ianto. For these last five, I want you to thank me after each one…and I want you to ask for them.”
If possible, Ianto grew even harder at these words and his face flushed even more. Ianto was incredibly shy about asking for what he wanted in bed, and both he and Jack knew it.
“Please, Jack…” he trailed off, not wanting to say it.
“Please…what Ianto?” Jack teased.
Ianto moaned; the fingers inside his arse were doing wicked things to his prostate. “Please, spank me…hit me again.”
Jack’s hand landed just below his cheek, where arse met leg. “Twenty one.”
“Thank you sir. Please, spank me again.”
Jack’s hand came down in the same spot, just on the other leg. “Twenty two.”
Ianto moaned, moving faster, rubbing his cock harder against Jack’s cloth covered leg. “Thank you sir. Pl - please, spank me again.”
Jack’s hand came down in the exact same spot, even harder. “Twenty three, and Ianto, you are not allowed to come until after I have and I say you can. You won’t come until I am buried in that tight ass of yours.”
Ianto moaned even louder, but forced himself to stop his thrusting. “Thank you sir. Please spank me, quickly sir. I don’t know if I can last.”
“You will last Ianto, or else, you’ll be punished even more.” His hand came down again. “Twenty four. One more.”
Ianto was panting in his effort not to thrust. “Thank you sir. Please sir, spank my ass again, one more time.”
Jack’s hand came down twice in rapid succession, on the reddest part of Ianto’s ass. “Twenty five, and one to grow on.” He moaned out, then slowly removed his fingers from Ianto’s hole.
“Thank you sir, now please, fuck me!” Ianto all but yelled the last part and Jack knew he couldn’t wait a moment longer. Pushing Ianto off his lap, Jack stood and pulled Ianto behind him to the bedroom, pushing him to the bed once they got there.
Ianto buried his face in the mattress, waiting for what he knew was coming. Jack didn’t disappoint. In mere moments, Ianto could feel Jack’s now slick cock pushing its way into his hole.
“Please, Jack, I don’t think I can last long. Just fuck me.” Ianto moaned, muffled but still loud enough for Jack to understand.
“Don’t worry, I don’t think I can either, but remember, no coming until I say.”
Jack’s thrusts were rapid, his balls slapping against Ianto’s red cheeks with each one. He tried holding off his orgasm but knew it wouldn’t be long; the spanking had just been too much foreplay for this part to last long. Feeling his balls pull up, Jack slammed all the way into Ianto, pushing against his prostate. At the same moment, he brought his hands down from Ianto’s hips to grab his reddened cheeks, tearing a deep moan from the younger man’s lips. That pushed Jack over the edge. Just as he could feel himself beginning to come, he yelled out, “Come for me Ianto, now!”
Ianto moaned, feeling Jack’s come rushing into his hole, and that pushed him over the edge as well, flooding the bed sheets below him.
- No once upon a time…
After the aftershocks of their orgasms had passed, Jack pulled carefully out of Ianto, then rolled the two of them over, so they were still lying together, but neither was in the wet spot Ianto had left. For awhile, they both slept, recovering from their intense orgasms.
When they woke, they laid their quietly, until Jack finally spoke. “So, what’s part three of your day?”
Ianto smiled, glad Jack was still enjoying their day. “Well for part three, we can stay here. I want you to tell me a story.”
Jack’s eyebrows furrowed, a little surprised by that answer. “A story? Any particular one?”
Ianto bit his lip; this would be the tricky part. “I want to know what happened while you were with the Doctor. I know in the past you’ve said you didn’t really want to talk about it, and if you really don’t want to, you don’t have to, but I really would like to know what happened over those three months…sometimes you have nightmares Jack, you shout things out and I don’t know how to try and help you. I don’t know how to try and make it better. And I hear you shout out to the Doctor, so I’m pretty sure it’s about those months.”
Jack took a deep breath. “You’re right; I do have nightmares about that time. And I probably should have told you about it before now, but I just…I don’t know. It’s hard for me to talk about. But, I probably should. And if I’m ever going to tell anyone about it, I want it to be you.” Jack took another deep breath, steeling himself for what he knew was coming. HE pulled Ianto closer to him, needing him in his arms, to reassure himself that Ianto was there, that the year that never was never was. “When I was with the Doctor, I was gone for a year; well, what I mean is that it was a year for me. It started by going to the end of the universe…”
Jack spoke over the next hour, uninterrupted, Ianto just listening. Jack spoke until his voice was hoarse, and his eyes were red. The only time that a few tears did manage to escape was when Jack told Ianto of his death during this year that never was, in front of Jack who had been unable to do anything to stop Saxon from killing his lover.
By the end, Ianto too was crying, crying for the pain that Jack had been put through. He could understand why Jack had never wanted to speak of his time with the Doctor, and hoped that his storytelling wouldn’t start up a whole new batch of nightmares for his lover.
- Making good on the date…
Once Jack had calmed down, and both he and Ianto had washed up a bit, wiping away tears and cum from each others bodies, Jack asked Ianto what he wanted next for their day.
“Well, we never did get out on that date that you promised me.” Ianto said with a smile; several times they had planned the date, but each time the rift had interrupted their plans. “So, I think we should go to dinner.”
Jack nodded, glad that they wouldn’t be discussing the year that never was further. He felt that he would be able to discuss it with Ianto in the future, but he was just too raw at the moment, to stripped open to discuss it for awhile.
When they finished cleaning themselves up, they got dressed again, then made their way hand in hand down the street to a small, quiet Chinese restaurant that Jack had never been to, but that Ianto had raved about.
Dinner was quiet, and much a repeat of their picnic lunch. They ate and carried on a comfortable conversation, never having any long or awkward pauses or silences. By the time their bill came, they were surprised to see that they had been there for over two hours, and it long become dark outside. They paid, then made their way outside, again walking along hand in hand, their conversation continuing. They took the long way back to Ianto’s flat, neither wanting the night to end.
- “…I’m glad I spent it with you…”
Back in the flat, Ianto made them each a cup of coffee and they sat on the couch together and drank them, bodies pressed together, neither wanting to be far from the other. Like at the park, Jack was behind Ianto, with the younger man leaning back into him.
Jack sighed, “So what’s your last wish? I don’t know if we’ll have time for it tonight, the day flew by. But, it was rather perfect, wasn’t it? You had a good birthday, yeah?”
Ianto smiled. “I had a perfect birthday Jack. It was the best “perfect” day I could ask for, and one I never imagined. And the best part, Jack, is that I spent it with you. Even if each of my wishes had gone wrong today, it still would have been okay, because at least it would have been us, you and me, doing normal things. And that leads me to my last wish…” Ianto trailed off, a little unsure of himself and his last wish.
“What is it Ianto? What is your wish? Tell me, and if it is in my power to do so, I’ll grant it in a heartbeat.”
Ianto took a deep breath. “I love you Jack. I’ve never told you that, but I do. I love you.”
Jack’s arms around Ianto tightened, pulling him back further into his chest, and he buried his face in the crook of Ianto’s neck. “I love you too Ianto. I love you too.”
Ianto smiled. “My last wish Jack…I want more perfect days, like this one. I want as many as we can get, even if we won’t get forever. Jack…I want to you to live with me. Will you move in with me?”
For a moment, Jack forgot to breathe. Of all the things he thought Ianto might ask, he had never expected that, not even after Ianto’s declaration of love. Once he started breathing again, Jack found that he didn’t even have to think about his answer. “Of course. Of course I will. I want as many perfect days as we can get, I want a lifetime of perfect days with you, Ianto.”
Finally, Ianto turned and met eyes with Jack, and was warmed to see the things he felt for Jack reflected back at him. Leaning up, Ianto brought his lips to Jack in a soft but passionate kiss, sealing the deal…Jack was finally home.
End flashback
Ianto was brought out of his memories by Jack making snuffling noises next to him. He knew that it wouldn’t be long before Jack fully woke; the sky outside the window was just beginning to lighten, and Jack had already slept later than he normally did. Resting his head again on Jack’s chest, Ianto placed a kiss just above his heart, thankful for all the perfect days he and Jack had ahead, and that his birthday wish had come true.
