The Agony of Waiting!

Okay, so I ordered these shoes (they're Carlos Santana...I know, don't get on my case) on Friday night:

I've been looking for a good deal on them, because while I like the semi-skanky snakeskin-look, I am not about to spend a fortune on them. So when I saw them on sale on Amazon, I bought a pair.

I have Amazon Prime through my friend Gloria...and I was surprised to see they had supposedly shipped the shoes out on Valentine's Day (this past Saturday). I had ordered another book for my brother's birthday, and that was shipped out the same day, separately. In any case, I received the book today...but did not receive the shoes. I checked on the UPS site -- because I am crazy about tracking! -- and lo and behold, my shoes arrived in Long Beach (give or take, 15 miles from my house and/or office)...but they were sent off for processing in Los Angeles (30 miles or so from my house and/or office). How this makes sense is beyond me, but I am sure UPS has its reasons for why they do the things they do.

So the scheduled delivery date is actually Wednesday, but I think there is a chance they'll deliver them by tomorrow. But you know...I can be such a freak about the delivery time -- like, if my order is just close enough, then I'm all incredulous that they won't bring it to me as soon as humanly possible! Heh. I mean, it's not like I'll be wearing the shoes immediately, but just having the hot shoes in my eager little hands...would make me inexplicably happy!

these are a few of my favorite things, endless shoes, zee internet, frivolous purchases
