All the flushing...
So, all my nasal passage irrigation didn't come in time -- I'm sick with a head cold. The only remedy for this is sleeping in on Christmas...and then again on the day after Christmas. And possibly the entire weekend after. But a girl can only dream, because she has to go and work on the house this weekend...again.
I have taken both Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom Nighttime caplets AND downed a couple tablespoons of NyQuil, and yes, I can feel the effects of the NyQuil kicking in -- and it's only been a few minutes since ingesting it. The Tylenol didn't work out for me, actually. I'd taken two caplets and was expecting drowsiness, but instead, I managed to finish a load of laundry, paint my toenails, and sat around watching reruns of Friends.
Anyway, my sinuses are way too swollen right now for any sinus irrigation anyway -- I tried to do it tonight, and I practically drowned myself. All the saline solution got stopped up in one nostril and was leaking back out. It wasn't unpleasant to feel, but had someone seen me, it would've been outright embarrassing. No smooth drainage here! And now I keep coughing because of the post nasal drip...because seriously -- where's all my excess mucus going to go if my nose is all plugged up, right?
Here's to hoping my symptoms are less aggravated tomorrow!
