My good friend Sheree (I was in her wedding in June), is pregnant. Yes, it's a planned pregnancy. She came over yesterday, and my mom barked at her, "Hi Sher-wee! You pregnant yet?!"...right when Sophie started sniffing her butt and had inexplicably stopped jumping all over her.
Sheree and her husband, Robert, have been trying since they got married (they are slightly older than I am -- she's 32 and he is in his forties). She just completed her first trimester. The funny part is that she is already starting to show. Like, her tummy is a bit rotund and pronounced, and I can already see her boobs merging as one with her stomach. It's funny and cute...but I am slightly grossed out, too. Not by the idea she's gaining weight. More by the idea that she's going to be leaking and creaking and also just by being a baby incubator. Bleh!
I am not ready to have kids. I'm having a sandwich right now and Sophie keeps staring at me...and I keep saying, "This is NOT for puppies!" If my kid were doing the same thing, or crying, I would probably do the same thing, but change the words around: "This is NOT for babies!"...and continue eating. I would be a god-awful parent. Haha.
