a mother physically hurting her crying 3-year-old in an aisle at waitrose, and calling him a "spiteful fucking skinny cunt" over and over.
i stood with my heart aching for the child, and a bit for the mother, wanting to stop it but not wanting to make things worse for the little boy later, and am not surprised at the mess of our society, if we can treat our children like this.
please don't respond with 'some people shouldn't have children'. some people might not know what they're doing is wrong, because maybe that's how they were treated, and that is the problem. but having children is a privilege, not necessarily a right.
