Perceptor booted up slowly. At about 75%, he realized this was going much more slowly than it ought. Additionally, he registered that he was chained and swathed in some sort of strange material.

His optics flickered on. There were manacles around his wrists and ankles, glowing LED chains attached and pulling his hands well away from his body. His legs were hobbled with a similar set of chains, and he was- He appeared to be wearing a kimono, of all the strangest things. The pattern and color was even appropriate for his age and the season, which was just downright baffling.

"Ah, you're awake! Good," someone with a Decepticon accent said. A jet sauntered into his line of sight, grey and pale yellows, masked. No one Perceptor recognized immediately, but something about the mech made him think he should.

His captor went on, "There's some procedures that I need your feedback on. Redoing the circuitry in your 'scope is just full of room for mistakes, and I don't make mistakes."

"-What?"

The jet's antennae flicked up jauntily. "I want to get the circuitry done before I start on the metal-working. Your beau will like your new circuits, and the critics will like the metallurgy on the metallurgist!"

Perceptor squeaked, "My beau?"

"You do have one." The jet must have read the answer in Perceptor's face. "Oh, honey."
