Some mornings, Ozai wakes up and cannot believe he is so lucky.

Last night, a storm pounded the Palace. Now, the servants have thrown open the storm shutters. Light falls in through glass windows as he pushes back the red drapes around the bed. The sun has almost risen entirely, and his glorious wife smiles in her sleep.

She is beautiful, his Ursa. Beautiful and deadly, and she matches him in a way the women of the court never did. Better still, she challenges him, and he is better for her being in his life.

He loves her. Two years ago, she was a stranger at his wedding, and this morning, he loves her.
