I got hit with something nasty this weekend. Starting on Friday afternoon I had a very painful dry cough, which turned into drained energy by Friday night. Saturday was the worst of it--cough and drained energy on top of sneezing/congestion/runny nose, fever of 103, monster headache, chills, etc. Sunday I still pretty much felt like shit, although the fever was gone. Today I'm home from work, still trying to kick this.
The stress comes because of all the things I'm missing having lost three days. I got no work done for school (and have two group projects for which I'm obligated to do a certain amount of work), missing work today (which was supposed to be a very busy day) puts me significantly behind there, and I'm running an event at work on Thursday that I'm behind on planning. The event will just not be as wonderful as I wanted it to be, which I'm over--I just want it to run decently at this point. I'm just worried that once I'm back on my feet, I'll be so frantic to catch up on everything that I won't manage to actually get past this sickness, whatever it is. Sleeping for 3 days straight is more time than I can afford to give right now, so after today, I have to hit the ground running and get stuff done. I just hope this bug doesn't come with me.
