Billie Piper to leave Doctor Who
Admittedly this news has been in the offing for over a year now. So it's not so much of a kick in the tummy as the news that Christopher Eccleston was leaving was. That was almost on a par with reading about Michael Shanks leaving in Season 5 (FIVE! people - past tense!!). I was looking at finding out more about SG-1 at the time and when I read that... 180 degree turn and made like a tree!
So yeah - I am a bit sad as with Jack's eventual return (S3... I think!) it means that there won't be a lovely OT3 reunion. Or could there be? There is no mention of Rose dying - just that the actress is leaving so...
Yeah, yeah, yeah - laugh at the monster pathetically clutching at straws!;)
Even so - I wish Ms Piper the very best of luck and thank her from the bottom of my heart for helping to bring this series back to life and making it so damn good in the process.
I just hope that they don't rush the introduction of a new companion. I think that's why a lot of people don't like Jonas that much - because he was pushed front and centre when everyone was still trying to grieve over Daniel...
Will Rose have her own version of 'Abyss'? Will Captain Jack be the new companion (can you just imagine the innuendo and jokes! heeee!). Will Rose end up doing a 'Fallen' (bit difficult as it's a kids show!;))
Who knows (sic!)
All I ask is that we go from seasons 3 to (a hopeful 4 - nothing is set in stone yet but fingers crossed!) with the entire crew intact as this is so not a good thing!
