Okay - whomever I p*ssed off... I'M SORRY!!!
Long story short - I get a text message from my bank to phone them. They think there has been a security issue with my card.
'Oh dear!' thinks I, and gets onto the phone double quick time.
Lovely people at the bank ask me if I've been using my card today. That's a no. I was at work all day and just escaped to grab some food. I certainly was nowhere near any site that sells Vodaphone stuff or iTunes.
Um... halp? It looks like I've been the victim of a card cloner.
The bank were very understanding about it and cancelled the card there and then. A new one will be sent in the next couple of days.
I have no fragging idea how this HAPPENED!! I try to be as safe as anyone can be online. Use only trusted sites, always try to never let my card out of my sight... all the things that the experts recommend that you do to protect yourself and STILL my card gets cloned!
Not Daniel Craig, nor Hugh Jackman or John Barrowman... my wee bank card!
I'm just hoping that the replacement will get to me by next week - I'm okay for cash right now (I usually move all the 'disposable income' to another bank account pretty soon after pay day - whatever is left in the bank account pays the bills...) but that cash only goes so far and I wants my money!
So... moral of this story - do you know who's got your bank details?
