Through training a client's new assistant, I've got an 'in' with a local wildlife rescue centre.....
The owner is doing some web updating for my client... and we got talking and it turned out that this little baby waxeye had fallen from it's nest and had been rescued from the local cat. It was living in a cage with a small heater to keep it warm, it was very noisy when it wanted feeding.... and when it finally worked out that I have a hotter body temperature than everyone else there had, it quickly settled down on my hand and promptly fell asleep!
After xmas, I'm hoping to go and spend some hours there.... photographing the birds and animals they're looking after......
It's nice to have a reason for serious photography....
