This is totally against most of what I think is important, but the boy in Persuasion is so much prettier than the girl.  The girl is just kind of unfortunate looking.  And she's not ugly by any means.  I think it's the stupid tight hair.  There's a picture of the actress with a really cute haircut and she looks good.  Maybe she just needs bangs.
But the boy!  The boy is just so cute.  He kind looks like David Beckham and David Anders, but with these beautiful green eyes.  Seriously, look at him!  Is he not adorable?
It's not like Sally Hawkins doesn't play Anne Elliot beautifully, she just looks so plain.  And I think she's adorable, just not so much in this piece.  And then there's Rupert Penry-Jones looking so dashingly handsome.  The boy should be cute, but I don't think he should ever be prettier than the girl in these kinds of films.
I recognize that this is amazingly shallow of me, but if only they'd done her hair slightly differently so it was more flattering for her face.  Regency hairstyles were more diverse than pulled tight with a couple of curls around the hairline.
