(no subject)
Muse is going to be on Saturday Night Live this Saturday! *_* I'm gonna try to get tickets. Apparently to get standby tickets I have to wake up and get there really early (like, before 7), but I figure it's worth a shot. XD Also, Muse is supposed to be playing outside anyway, so even if I don't get tickets I can at least see them anyway probably. <3
And yesterday on diru_tabloids, someone made a topic asking everyone who their favorite member of Dir en grey is. I'm copypasting my answer from there over here so I don't lose it. XD"
"I love all of the members, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a soft spot for Kyo especially. Along with being an amazingly talented vocalist and lyricist, he just strikes me as someone really confident, from his stage presence to the way he shook my hand the first time I met him. I'll never forget how strong his grip was. XD It's also pretty inspiring how from early on he knew what he wanted to do with his life and he went for it. And obviously succeeded too. <3
As for why I love the other members:
Toshiya- Recently I found out he used to go to art school, and I happen to be an art school student. XD Also, he has truly memorable and amazing bass solos (i.e. Akuro no Oka and Cage), and is one of my all-time favorite bassists. I actually first became interested in the bass guitar after hearing Toshiya play bass. XD And he strikes me as an honest and sincere person, and I appreciate that. <3
Kaoru- Dude, he's the almighty hardxcore Leader-sama. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's the one who formed Diru in the first place, right? If so, that right there already makes him epic awesome. <3 But he seems awesome regardless. And he's an adorkable fanboy and I love him for it. Also, I love Dir en grey's guitar parts because they just sound so unique and different and awesome. <3
Die- Like I said, Diru's guitar parts rock, so that goes for both Die and Kaoru. XD Last month at the Diru shows in NYC, I was in front of Die on the rail the second night, so I got to see him play up close, and that made me fully appreciate what a good guitarist he is. =D And I love his smile. <3
Shinya- Most adorable person ever~! <3 And we both love dogs, yay. XD Also, his drumming is kickass. Every time I catch a glimpse of him at concerts, it always amazes me how fast he can move.
In a nutshell (because this comment is probably tl;dr XD"), they're all super talented and awesome and they seem like cool people too from what I've read in interviews/seen at concerts/seen when I've been lucky enough to meet them. XD"
I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff, but yeah, there's definitely a lot of reasons to love them. <3
