kissing girls
have you heard this new "I Kissed a Girl" song? not the old kissing girls song, but the same concept. well if you have heard this song you are probably singing it in your head every second of the day. this is what has happened to me. just the mere mention of this song sets it into an annoying nonstop cycle through my brain. it is perhaps the catchiest tune i have heard since the subway 5 dollar footlong jingle. i first heard this on So You Think You Can Dance last Thursday and ever since it is pervading my life! i was on sprint.com and hit something on the ringtone page and this song started playing. my son had a friend over last night and they were singing and humming this and it is still in my head this morning. i don't even know where they are hearing this sexual experimentation anthem, perhaps in the van to their summer water adventure camp which is just a bit weird to me. i'm just waiting for him to ask me to put it on his ipod like "Talk Dirty To Me" when he heard this on guitar hero. but whatever, i remember listening to "I Want Your Sex" by George Michael on my way to my great grandmothers house when I was a little older than him. In the grander scheme of things, with song about licking you like a lollipop and bending you over on the dance floor, a song about girls making out is tame. it's starting to get weird being a mother.
