Circle Sky, Telling Lies

Seven-Seven-Oh Seven was the day that everyone wanted to get married. Everyone wanted to be out and about because it was the day of "perfection" according to numerology. Well...it WAS perfect.
I arrived early with some friends to see Micky Dolenz of the Monkees perform live. By early, I mean a good nine hours early. We entertained ourselves and everything, though; they are amazing people and I love them very much. We went to Micky D's (Oh, the irony) and ate and got into a small food fight, came back to the park, went to the hotel and got a room, then came back once more and watched his soundcheck and set up the merchandise tables. We all got hugs and kisses from him. He's such a sweetie.
So we hang around and try to beat the SCORCHING heat, then take our seats in the front row and watch Micky and Coco play. They were amazing, of course, and Mika and myself got to contribute to the show. We ran up to the stage during "Words" to give Coco these little instruments which Mika brought; she saw them during soundcheck and thought they were just perfect, so we ran up there and handed them off during the show!
Afterwards we were behind the merch tent, and I got Micky's sweaty towel (Weee!) and a setlist from a lovely bandmember (whom we had talked to before the show, and afterwards. They were all wonderful.) Got pictures with Micky, then went back to the hotel where Micky and we were all staying and met up with him in the bar and grille in the downstairs of the restaurant, where he bought as us something to drink and chatted with us until he went up to bed at about midnight.
The next day, we went downstairs to the lobby and talked to the band members before they left for California. We didn't see Micky, but we had seem him a bunch the other day, so it was okay!
We then went to Bilbo's Pizza (Absolute HEAVEN for a LotR nerd like myself) and ate, and then they dropped me off.
Y'know...I would've had a ton of fun irregardless of the VIP treatment...I have never met such lovely, wonderful, real, honest, funny, great people. They truly are the friends I've always wanted and I love them very much.

I'm content as a cucumber....

*Dreamy sigh*
