(no subject)
Hey! Long time no post but meh whatever, I've been a busy bee! :p
Sooo looking over my last post I reckon I should say I had my results back for my exams and huzzah! I passed! I didn't fail anything (not even the exam from Hell! I'm a shocked as anyone let me tell ya!) so I'm still ready and raring to go for my second year in Cov! Wahey!
I have a few bits and bobs I need to be doing before I go back (I move back in Sept 22nd) so I'll be busy busy busy. I just got back from my holiday in Wales and I'm going to Blackpool on Monday so I need to wash and re-pack for that in between all the workage.
Oh! Speaking of work I reckon they're paying me wrong... I mean I expected to get £265 for this month since that's my base wage with no overtime and I did maybe an extra day this month because overtime has been few and far between since it's been so quiet but I logged into my account online and turns out I got paid £420!! Almost double what I expected!! I was like "Wha'!? *blink*" I mean I'm not complaining because yay! more money! I always love that.
Either they're paying me wrong or I'm just not used to the pay rise I got and I'm expecting it all to be what I had before... maybe it's just I'm working it out wrong... or I worked more than I thought I did. *shrug* I dunno... more dosh for my jollies and my driving lessons :D
Yep, I've decided I'm going to start to learn to drive now... scary huh? I'm not going to learn in Cov because OMG the roads are SCARY there but since I'm coming back to Wolvo at the weekeneds for work I thought I could do what Lizzi was doing last year and have a lesson on a Friday. It's going to take me freaking ages and I know it's going to cost me a bomb but since I have a job so I can live on that rather than my student loan like I did last year (Oh! I have news about that too hehe) then I'm going to have a bit of extra cash floating around so I figured I should put it to good use rather than blowing it all on drinking and junk food. :)
We'll see how that plan goes but for now that's the idea. *nod* I just need to send my forms and money off to get my provisional and then it's a go!
Now, my student loan! Haha good story! I thought I'd be getting a whole lot less than I did last year since my Dad is earning more because his business is doing great and my Mom got a promotion at work and she's getting a lot more money than she did last year and it's all based on the parental income isn't it? Stupid system IMO but there we go.
Well anyway, I filled in the form to get it all again and my Mom and Dad put down their new incomes and I was like "there's a grand gone!" but it turns out I'm getting MORE!
Seriously! How strange is that? lol I'm getting my tuition fees paid for me (yay!) and I'm getting four and a half thousand for my living costs. I mean really, how do they work that out?? My parents are earning more and I get more money? VERY strange system.
So, what else? Oh yes more new fandoms! *grin* I've gotten into Torchwood and Ugly Betty now and oh my life! Daniel and Betty are sooo cute!! I mean it's obvious that Daniel admires Betty, you can just tell how he looks at her! Okay, watch this scene and tell me you don't see it! click and squee! I just love that scene so much! "You're better than any model Betty, much better." I squee every single time *melts*
OK, I gotta go get dressed now... it may well be 1pm but who cares right? :p
