TV Life: You know what I absolutely love about Jun forever? He does some seriously hot shoots and then he turns around and does something like THIS. I mean, I know it's probably wardrobe and everything but...Jun. Oh, Jun.

Music Lovers: Oh, god, Jun is so happy. I mean, obviously they're all happy and excited to be doing a live--they all really love doing the lives--but doing live shows makes Jun glow. For all the stuff that he (and the rest of them) have given up for this job, when they get to be with the fans like that do appear to love their job.

About Ogura-san: Did you see him when Beautiful Days started up? XD I love him. But you mentioned the generational difference and I can't help but think of how much the grandmas and grandpas on MMA loved those boys and I think it's because (as you said) they obviously work their asses off when given a chance. They get up to crazy, stupid things but you can tell that it's in the spirit of the moment--not just because they're rowdy kids, so I think Ogura just kind of rolls with that. He plays the old goat and they do their wacky kids thing and, because they know each other backstage, they know which parts are exaggeration and which aren't.

Plus, sometimes the camera catches Ogura cracking up or watching them and it's like 'awww, look who loves his idiot grandsons!'. I could be reading a lot into it, though. One of the bits of emo-ness that I wrote in regards to Ohno's scandal had a moment with Ogura. *shrugs*

BUT! Aiba's dad brought them take out because their place was (apparently) close by. *flails* I am weak for Arashi-parents interacting with Arashi members. I LIKE FAMILIES, OKAY?

'Making of' Videos: rofl BLACK. Oh, Jun. Junnosuke. I can't tell if you're trying to be emo or if you're trying to be badass, or if you're just trying to look deep and smart in front of Sho. As much as I love seeing them do their stuff, btw, it's also really interesting to see what their work is like, to see what goes in to making that finished product.

Oh, and Jun's weight there actually doesn't bother me. He had a growth spurt right around then and he was sixteen? Seventeen? He really just looks like a teenage boy to me. I suppose it helps that I see teenaged boys regularly--they're reedy, gangly things. I think it looks worse on Arashi because they're 1: Built like Asian guys and 2: Trained to move so that they don't have that gangly, awkward thing going on that screams 'kid just hit his growth spurt'.

AnS: Shinagawa is sort of hot and really funny. I would totally hit that. Plus, he rats out Hiro. 'He tried to use his cellphone instead of chopsticks!'. I want Daigo, Hiro, and Aiba to hang out together. I WANT TO SEE THIS. I want to see Hiro and Aiba in an 'idiot' contest (okay, I just want to see Sho snort green juice again). I want to see if Jun and Hiro are fabulous together. (I...I think the level of pretty could be epic.)

But I think one of the things I really loved in this episode (hello, Nino, I SAW YOU EAT. GOOD BOY) is Jun's random bit of cam-whoring and how he sort of laughed about it. Matsumoto, I want to hug you for being so cute. I really...I really love how happy he is lately. Even a year ago he was still having a lot of moments where he wasn't this comfortable with himself and lately...it's just. Obviously these guys can smile through just about anything and you can't always tell when it's fake but Jun's smile lately is so big and so bright and he laughs so much more. I don't know what changed for him but I'm so glad it did.

A-also. Nino's comment about the way Sho is sitting? I think it's because of this:

Also, I totally binged on Wish performances for the Sakumiya dorkery, but the red velvet pants? I've never been assaulted with the sight of so much Arashi crotch (I say it like I mind it).

Although one of my friends brought up the point that if Hirotan was on, say, Shukudai, all Jun would want to talk about is the upcoming marriage - they'd probably end up looking at bridal magazines together XD; But wait, Aiba would probably squeeze his way in there somehow. Hirotan wedding planned by Jun and Aiba?

It really has - god, if there's something silly going on in a concert or performance, 80% of the time it's Sho & Nino. The sad thing is that after watching 5 of those performances back to back, I'm starting to think the kicking and flailing at each other might be actual choreography...

You know, I'm not sure how I'd feel about them bringing up the marriage, because I'm at the point where I'm fine with it, but it might be weird to talk about. On the other hand, I don't really know much at all about Hiro, so it'd be a great way to learn more and just. The thought of Jun giving him wedding or fashion tips (or trading fashion tips, more likely) fills me with so much glee I cannot contain it.

I would not put it past Arashi to have put that in there deliberately. Especially when it comes to ANYTHING involving Nino. XD

I'm pretty convinced Nino instigates all the tv performance dorkery so he can conserve energy and dance less XD That's my theory for why he picked Niji for Kokuritsu anyway, so I rage at him for withholding flaily HD Gimmick Game love :<

Apologies for this being so late! Though, man, I have talked so much in the last couple of days, I don't know how any of you can stand me anymore!

I... I have heard the rumor before that Jun dresses in a lot of his own clothes and I would imagine that maybe not this one was his, but. HE STILL WORE IT. He loves long, flowy things! I LOVE HIS LOVE FOR THESE FASHION CHOICES. It never, never gets old.

Ogura-san: Over and over we hear about people (whom you wouldn't really think would be the boyband fan type) saying that they like Arashi because they're so different from what they expected, that they're normal guys, that they work really hard, that they're not full of themselves, that they're the kind of people that would be easy to get along with, stuff like that. And I think there's a real quality that draws a lot of people to them and Ogura-san is no different. Arashi... is really good at reading an atompshere and I think that includes Ogura-san. Like, they never draw him into something that he doesn't want to be drawn into and they respect that, which I think goes a long way.

They're really good, hard working, talented, respectful kids. Well, as respectful as you can be on a Japanese television show. I was thinking about this with the balloon boob game and how that could have gone so wrong, but I thought it was actually pretty awesome and how I'm generally pretty pleased with Arashi's treatment of women, given the culture they've grown up in. It's the same towards their elders, it feels like that respect is real and not just for show. It's hard not to adore these grandkids, who wouldn't want boys like that for their grandkids?

'Making Of' Videos: Normally I'm not much for their younger stuff, but these were just too cute to pass up. Plus, they were HILARIOUS and you can see them starting to click as a group, even if they weren't quite all the way there yet. And just. Jun. Oh, we're terrible people for him, but SPRING IS BLACK. BLACK. I will never not LOL. Jun is our darling precious sweetheart emo badass, yes, he is~~

I think I always harken back to that one image of the five of them shirtless (I'd never be able to drudge it up now, but you probably know the one I mean), where Jun literally has an hourglass figure and it's not even about curves, it's about these painfully sharp angles and I just. I cannot stand how skinny he used to be, even if he looks more like a normal teenage boy at this point, one who's just gone through a growth spurt. But! Either way, he actually ate a sandwich and looks better now! \o/

Shukudai-kun 129 - Shinagawa is sort of hot and really funny. I would totally hit that. <--SO AGREED. :Db It makes me sort of really wistful that they couldn't get Shinagawa and Hiro on at the same time, because the only thing better than him ratting Hiro out is ratting Hiro out to his face. I also want to see Sho and Hiro being smart together (they both went to the smartypants school! <3), then turning right around and being an airhead with Aiba!

And YES I have loved Jun being just a total dork lately. They... they are not ways in which I would be dorking it up, but if he's comfortable and happy and having fun, then that is all I ask for. And he does! Oh, man, when Nino's making fun of Jun in 130 and he laughs about it afterwards? I feel like I could have just BURST with happiness for all of them! ♥

Also, I like to think that Nino totally stuffed something down Sho's pants before the filming, hence the bulge. Preferably Nino's own hand. :|b
